Rural Economy Knowledge Support System
The Rural Economy Knowledge Support System (REKSS) is a centralized system for managing and streamlining knowledge on the rural economy. REKSS identifies important information gaps and facilitates location-specific analysis of rural development and food security strategies.
Through the RESKSS component of the APSF project, NSSP supports strategic planning and capacity building in agriculture and rural development by working with Nigerian partners to:
- Offer courses and seminars that strengthen policy analysis and design;
- Compile agriculturally relevant datasets and document archives, especially related to the poverty, gender, and environmental dimensions of the sector;
- Build the evidence base needed for agricultural and rural development, including analyses to inform public and private sector investments
- Disseminate information and reinforce communication networks to support strategic planning and policymaking in agricultural and rural development
