November 14, 2011 - November 16, 2011
Organized by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS)
This workshop will:
- Bring key stakeholders from research, policymaking, academic, and programmatic communities together to encourage regional capacity building, share lessons, and discuss key knowledge and information gaps in implementing agriculture program interventions for food security.
- Explore approaches and tools for leveraging cross-country learning, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge sharing to benefit researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in the region.
- Review and discuss how country-owned planning processes and development partners involved (e.g. government, NGOs, donors, private sector, research community) can benefit from accessing regional networks for resources, such as specialized expertise, knowledge and information, tools, and lessons, and how to go about doing so.
