The conference will be held at the Federation House, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Tansen Marg, New Delhi 110 001, India from October 19-20, 2005 (Tel: 91-11-23738760-70; Fax: 91-11-23320714). Registration for the conference will start at 9:15 AM on October 19 and the conference will start at 10:00 AM. The concluding session is scheduled at 1:20 PM on October 20.

The maximum temperature in New Delhi in October is about 26 degrees Centigrade and the minimum about 15-17 degrees Centigrade.

As specified in the invitation letter, the conference will provide accommodation to foreign participants and to those coming from outside Delhi. Please send your arrival and departure schedule to P.K. Joshi (p.joshi@cgiar.org) with a copy to Shirley Raymundo (s.raymundo@cgiar.org) and Nidhi Narula (a.narula@cgiar.org) to inform the hotel accordingly.

While attending the conference, charges for your room and taxes will be placed on a master bill to be paid directly by the organizers. You will be responsible for incidental expenses such as phone, fax, and laundry, as well as liquor. These charges will be placed on your individual account that we would appreciate your paying directly to the hotel upon checkout.

Breakfast will be at the respective hotel of stay on all days. Lunch will be provided at the conference venue on 19 and 20 October.

IFPRI/FICCI/ICRISAT will host a dinner reception on October 19 at the FICCI Federation House for the conference participants from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

The conference will provide transportation from hotel to the FICCI Federation House and back. Participants will be informed of the bus schedule when they arrive at their respective hotel.

Participants can purchase chipcard for making STD/ISD calls.

Computers will be available at the hotel.

Staff from IFPRI, FICCI, and ICRISAT will be available to provide assistance to the participants during the conference.
