Minister Annika Ahnberg, Swedish Minister of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries

This was the second in the sub-set of Policy Seminars on the 2020 Vision initiative.

Minister Ahnberg reviewed global food security issues from the perspective of a developed country - Sweden. She focused on the positive potential as well as the concerns arising from biotechnology, such as growth hormones and genetechnique. She also looked at global food security in relation to the upcoming World Trade Organization (WTO) negotiations, with special emphasis on reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
