IFPRI through its Ethiopia Strategy Support Program and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) of Ethiopia are jointly organizing a consultation workshop on Market Development and Growth in Ethiopia. This workshop will take place on May, 18-20 at the International Livestock Research Institute Campus in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The workshop will bring together 80-100 marketing experts and key policymakers to address core issues related to developing functioning and viable agricultural markets in Ethiopia, and to pursue an ongoing consultation around the “National Agricultural Input and Output Marketing Strategy”, developed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in late 2004.
