Antoine Bouët is a senior research fellow in the Markets, Trade and Institutions Division at IFPRI. In 2005, he was awarded the Global Trade Analysis Project Research Fellow distinction in recognition of his pioneering work on border protection measurement. His research focuses on global trade modeling, trade policies, regional trade agreements, and multilateral trade negotiations. Previously, Bouet was a professor of economics at the University of Pau (France) and scientific advisor at the Centre d'Etudes Prospectives et d'Informations Internationales (CEPII ) in Paris. He has also served as director of the Centre d'Analyse et de Traitement des Donnees Economiques (CATT) from 1996-2004, and as chairman of the European Network for Research on International Economics and Finance from 2002-2004. Bouet received a Ph.D. in economic theory of trade retaliation from the University of Bordeaux (France).

David Orden is a senior research fellow in the Markets, Trade and Institutions Division at IFPRI and professor of agricultural and applied economics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. His research focus is agricultural policy and international trade, including the effects of industrialized country agricultural subsidies on developing countries. Orden has conducted research and public policy education programs on exchange rate effects on agriculture, the economics and political economy of domestic support policies and international trade negotiations, and technical barriers to trade. Previously, he was a visiting professor at Stanford University from 1998-1999, chairman of the International Agricultural Trade Research Consortium from 1996-1997, and visiting fellow at the University of New South Wales (Australia) in 1990. Orden received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota.
