Rajul Pandya-Lorch has been with IFPRI since 1987. As head of the 2020 Vision Initiative for Food, Agriculture, and the Environment, she leads a global initiative to identify solutions for meeting world food needs while reducing poverty and protecting the environment. In this capacity, she has facilitated two major international conferences on these themes. Her research interests focus on trends in and prospects for global food security and on policies to alleviate and prevent food insecurity, poverty, and environmental degradation, with particular emphasis on sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa. Pandya-Lorch also serves as Chief of Staff in the director general’s office at IFPRI. She holds a MPA in public and international affairs from Princeton University.

Mark Rosegrant has been a researcher with IFPRI since 1980. In 2003, he was appointed Division Director of Environment and Production Technology at IFPRI. Rosegrant developed the International Model for Policy Analysis of Agricultural Commodities and Trade (IMPACT), a state-of-the-art model that generates projections to the year 2025 on global and regional food supply, demand, trade, and prices. He also developed IMPACT-Water, an integrated water-food model that assesses current and future water resource availability. Rosegrant has 25 years of experience in research and policy analysis in agriculture and economic development and is the author or editor of six books and over 100 professional papers. He holds a Ph.D. in public policy from the University of Michigan.
