The “Action Plan on Food Price Volatility and Agriculture” released today in Paris includes many important recommendations and shows global commitment to assisting the world’s most poor and vulnerable people. In order to move beyond words and rhetoric to implementation, we need to focus on the most urgent priorities and initiate action now. By taking concerted action on several fronts, it is possible to curtail price volatility, reduce poverty, and achieve food security.
