Carmen Ruiz is a Senior Program Analyst for the Director General’s Office (DGO) of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). In this capacity, she provides donor stewardship, communicates IFPRI’s research results to relevant audiences, and monitors DGO online presence. Prior to joining IFPRI, Carmen worked as a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at the Grupo Santander Foundation in Caracas, Venezuela. Previously, she served as a consultant for the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group. Carmen has also worked for the Inter-American Development Bank, the United Nations Development Program, and the Venezuelan Federation of Chambers of Commerce. Carmen received a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, a Master’s degree in International Cooperation from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a BA in Sociology from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello- Venezuela.
