Farha Deba Sufian is a Senior Research Assistant in the Poverty, Health, and Nutrition Division. She joined IFPRI in January 2016 under the Bangladesh Policy Research and Strategy Support Program (PRSSP). Her research emphasis at IFPRI is primarily on health and gender roles. Her focus is on modelling channels of impact of women’s empowerment on livelihood outcomes. Prior to joining IFPRI, Farha served as a lecturer in the Economics and Social Sciences Department at BRAC University. She received an M.A. in Economics from Simon Fraser University, Canada, and completed her Bachelors in Business Administration from North South University, Bangladesh.
