Ismael Fofana is a Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). He is also coordinating the network component of the African Growth and Development Policy (AGRODEP) modeling consortium. He received his PhD in Economics from the Université de Paris 1-Sorbonne. Ismael worked as researcher for the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) research network at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He conducts research and provides scientific support to researchers in developing countries on modeling tools used in assessing the impact of food, energy, and climate policies.
