Rachel joined IFPRI in 2014 as Communications Specialist for the Markets, Trade and Institutions Division. She provides writing and editorial services for MTID researchers in DC and abroad; she is the content editor of the Food Security Portal, assigning and reviewing all blog submissions as well as contributing her own stories; and she serves as the liaison between MTID and the Communications and Knowledge Management Division (CKM).

Rachel completed her Masters in International Media, with emphases on international relations, peace communication, and international development, at American University in 2013. Before moving to the DC area, Rachel worked as an independent public relations consultant and freelance writer in Jerusalem, Israel. She graduated from Brandeis University in 2007 with Bachelors degrees in Political Science and Environmental Studies. Her writing has been featured in The Culture-ist, The Huffington Post, The Jerusalem Post, and Detroit Jewish News.
