Tolulope Olofinbiyi (Tolu) is a Senior Program Manager in the Director General’s Office. She coordinates research and outreach activities for the Director General’s engagements within and outside of IFPRI. Tolu engages in policy research and analysis largely on cross-cutting topics related to agricultural development, food security, and nutrition issues. In addition to her extensive experience in the agribusiness sector in Nigeria, Tolu has worked with Development Alternatives Inc. in Bethesda, MD. She received her BA degree in Agricultural Economics from University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in Nigeria, MAB degree in Agribusiness from Texas A&M University, and MALD degree in International Affairs (development economics) from the Fletcher School, Tufts University. Tolu is also a PhD candidate studying development economics and political economy at the Fletcher School. Her dissertation research focuses on the political economy of public agricultural expenditure allocation decisions in Africa.
