Tsitsi Makombe is a Zimbabwean citizen and joined IFPRI in 2005. At IFPRI, Tsitsi manages research activities of IFPRI’s Africa Regional Offices for West and Central Africa and East and Southern Africa. She also provides programmatic support to various projects, notably, the Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System (ReSAKSS), an initiative in support of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP). Tsitsi has experience managing projects from planning, execution, and monitoring to closing as well as liaising with various IFPRI partners. Previously, Tsitsi worked as a Research Associate at the Partnership to Cut Hunger and Poverty in Africa in Washington DC, a research based advocacy for African agricultural development. Tsitsi received her MSc degree in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University and a BSc degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources from Africa University in Zimbabwe.
