IFPRI’s Capacity Strengthening Program seeks to improve human, organizational, and institutional capacity and knowledge systems for providing solutions to food policy issues. The program generates new knowledge in collaboration with partners, and strengthens the capacity of individuals and institutions in policy systems to reduce hunger and poverty. Together with policy research communications, this program ensures that IFPRI’s research results have impact on the ground by bringing together IFPRI researchers and other collaborators. The Capacity Strengthening Program supports IFPRI’s overall food policy research and capacity strengthening activities and creates essential linkages with other CGIAR centers and partners at the global, regional, and national levels.
Strengthening national capacities for evidence-based food policy analysis has long been one of IFPRI’s major objectives
