The aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami has posed challenges of unprecedented magnitude for the international development community to provide relief and rehabilitation to some of the world's poorest people affected by this natural disaster. IFPRI endeavors to assist in the efforts of the region to rebuild and cope, and has compiled a disaster relief page (www.ifpri.org/themes/disasterrelief.htm) with research-based information on floods, rehabilitation, and reconstruction resources.
