Andrew joined IFPRI in July 2007 as a Research Analyst. He is currently finishing his Ph.D. in the Applied Economics and Management Department at Cornell. Before coming to IFPRI, he conducted his dissertation field research in Mali where he extended a panel data set from 1997 and conducted a larger cross-sectional survey of 2,100 households in Northern Mali. He also recently worked in Tanzania with the World Bank to conduct a randomized experiment of labor market modules. Andrew attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate studies where he received degrees in Economics and Political and Social Thought. After his undergraduate studies, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali.
