Patricia Zambrano of Colombia joined IFPRI in 1999. Her work focuses on biotechnology issues. Zambrano earned an undergraduate degree in economics from the Universidad de Los Andes, Bogota, Colombia, and an M.A. in economics from the University of California, Davis.
