Akeem Ajibola joined IFPRI in April, 2011. He received his MSc and BSc in Agricultural Economics from University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2006 and 2010 respectively. He also obtained a Higher National Diploma and a National Diploma in Animal Production Technology and Agricultural Technology from Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Ibadan, Nigeria in 1999 and 2004 respectively.
Before joining IFPRI, Akeem was a Research Fellow with Community Development and Welfare Agenda (CODWA), a local NGO in Nigeria. His research interests include the analysis of agricultural and rural development issues such as poverty, food (in) security, micro/household enterprises and policy/governance issues.
Akeem currently works on IFPRI projects in Nigeria which cover food security and vulnerability, social networks and technology adoption, and the value chain analysis of farm products.
