Akiko Haruna is a Research Analyst in the Environment and Production Technology Division. Her research is on economic and interdisciplinary analysis on climate change policies and practices in agriculture and land use sectors. Prior to joining IFPRI, she worked as a research analyst on environmental and energy policy in a consulting firm Washington Core. In 2010 She conducted research in Nigeria as a research intern of Africa Rice Center. In 2009 she worked in Panama with the national government and The Nature Conservancy, also as a research intern. She received Master of Environmental Management with a concentration in Environmental Economics and Policy from Duke University in 2010.
