Andrew joined IFPRI in July 2007 as a Research Analyst. Before coming to IFPRI, he conducted his dissertation field research in Mali where he extended a panel data set from 1997 and conducted a larger cross-sectional survey of 2,100 households in Northern Mali. Andrew completed his Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. He also attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate studies where he received degrees in Economics and Political and Social Thought. After his undergraduate studies, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali.
