Barun Deb Pal has joined as Research Analyst at IFPRI office at New Delhi in November 2011. Prior to this he worked at National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) as Research Analyst from November 2006 to October 2011. His areas of expertise are Climate Change, Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Modeling, Input-Output (IO) and Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) based analysis, Econometrics analysis, and primary survey. He was also associated with Kamala Nehru College and Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB) of University of Delhi as Visiting Faculty.
He has submitted his doctoral thesis titled “A Study on Climate Change and Indian Economy – A SAM Based CGE Modeling Approach” to Jadavpur University in August, 2011. He got M.Sc degree with specialization in econometrics and Environment Economics from University of Calcutta in the year 2006.
