Daniela Horna, Postdoctoral Fellow. Agricultural economist holds PhD in agricultural economics and social sciences from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. She has gained international working experience through research and development projects in Latin America, West and East Africa on evaluation of production technologies and its contribution to households’ welfare. Her current research work focuses on the economics of agricultural biodiversity and in-situ and ex-situ conservation of plant genetic resources. Earlier research work dealt with economic valuation of agricultural information and chances of including private components into the public extension system in Nigeria and Benin. Other research interest involved the development and implementation of appropriate methods to evaluate of sustainable agricultural practices. She holds a master degree in International Agricultural Development from the University of California, Davis and a Bachelors degree in Agronomy from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, Peru. Previously, she has worked as a research assistant in the Economics Program at CIMMYT-Mexico.
