Fleur joined IFPRI in September 2007 as a postdoctoral fellow with DGO. She received her PhD in Development Economics in 2006 from Wageningen University, the Netherlands. For the writing of her doctoral dissertation she collected rural household data in Burkina Faso to analyze the economic impacts of labor migration. She also holds an MSc in Environment and Development from the University of East Anglia, UK and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of York, UK. Since receiving her PhD, Fleur has worked as assistant professor at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia.
