Mariam Mapila is a Malawian national. She currently works as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Malawi Strategy Support Program (MaSSP). Her current areas of research include analyzing the socio-economic impacts of the Farm Input Subsidy Program on Malawian smallholder farmers and commodity markets; and assessing agricultural policy processes with specific focus on youth in agriculture. She has previously worked for the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), the Farmers Union of Malawi and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in Malawi.
