Shruthi Cyriac joined IFPRI as a Senior Research Assistant in the Poverty, Health and Nutrition Division on 28th November 2011. Prior to this, she briefly worked for Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Hyderabad as a Research Fellow in a project related to the Andhra Pradesh National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (AP-NREGA). She has a Masters degree in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai and has completed her Bachelors in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. Her Masters dissertation is titled ‘Food security in a Food Deficient State: An Analysis of the Public Distribution System in Kerala’ and her research interests include food and nutrition policies as well as livelihood issues.
