Dr. Tokgoz received her Ph.D. in Economics from North Carolina State University in 2003. Her research mainly focuses on modeling and analysis of biofuels, energy, and agricultural markets, particularly the impact of biofuels expansion on agricultural crop production and land allocation.

Her research interests also include technical change in agriculture and R&D spillovers. She is a citizen of Turkey.
