Simla Tokgoz received her Ph.D. in Economics from North Carolina State University in 2003. Her research focus is modeling and analysis of biofuels, energy, and agricultural markets, particularly the impact of biofuels expansion on agricultural sector. Her research interests also include technical change in agriculture and R&D spillovers.

At MTID, she will join Globalization and Markets research program. She will be part of the AGRODEP project.
