Tsitsi Makombe, a Zimbabwean national, joined IFPRI in 2005. At IFPRI, Tsitsi provides research and technical support to the implementation of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP).

Before joining IFPRI she worked as a Research Associate at the Partnership to Cut Hunger and Poverty in Africa in Washington DC. At the Partnership, her research focused on examining trade trends under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and exploring opportunities for increasing Africa’s agricultural exports. Tsitsi received her BSc degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources from Africa University in Zimbabwe and an MSc degree in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University.
