Ulrike joined IFPRI in 2012 as a Senior Research Assistant in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions division. In 2013 she took over as the Country Program Coordinator for the Nigeria Strategy Support Program. Prior to IFPRI, she worked as a data analyst at a small research center at the University of Maryland. Ms. Nischan has previously worked on various applied research projects, such as an assessment of computer assisted personal interviewing software, constructing of poverty monitoring tools, and impact assessments and evaluations. Ulrike earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s Degree in International Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
