Africa Five: Field Activities
Prior to project implementation, a planning and methodology workshop was held by researchers from IFPRI, Hohenheim, and the study countries in Saly, Portudal, Senegal in July 1995. In collaboration with local field teams from participating institutions, surveys of farmers, output traders, and input traders were conducted simultaneously in the five African countries between October 1995 and October 1996.
