Egypt: Collaboration

The study is one of three components of a joint Markets and Structural Studies Division (MSSD) - Food Consumption and Nutrition Division (FCND) project on the design of cost-effective alternatives for the food subsidy and social safety net systems in Egypt funded by the USAID - United States Agency for International Development.

The MSSD component is being implemented with input from the Trade and Macroeconomic Division (TMD) and is being carried out with a team of researchers and advisors from the Ministries of Agriculture and Land Reclamation (MARL) and of Trade and Food Supply (MOTS), and from several Egyptian universities including: American University in Cairo, Cairo University, and Al-Azhar University.
