Food and Nutrition Security
IFPRI's research program Urban Challenges to Food and Nutrition Security, which began in 1995 and closed in 2004, examined the trends and determinants of food insecurity and malnutrition in urban areas and identified elements of successful urban programs and policies. The goal was to provide policy makers, program administrators and development practitioners with information to make sound policy and program decisions to reduce food insecurity and malnutrition in urban areas.
