Central Asia

IFPRI’s Central Asia Program provides evidence-based solutions for improving household welfare and advancing food security. The program partners with economic and agricultural researchers in Central Asia and Russia to develop research agendas, drive policy-relevant analysis, strengthen local research capacities, and engage governments in policy discourse.

The Central Asia Program focuses primarily on agricultural transformation and food security in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Its work on climate change and regional integration also includes Kazakhstan and Russia.
