IFPRI Postdoctoral Fellowship Recipients: 2001

Jing Zhu

As part of her postdoctoral fellowship, Jing Zhu will conduct research on public investment and food security issues in China. A Chinese citizen, she received her Ph.D. in agricultural economics at Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing, China. Before coming to IFPRI, she worked as an assistant professor at Nanjing Agricultural University, where her major research focus was food security issues. Some recent publications are: Impact of Structural Adjustment in the Cropping Sector on Effective Utilization of Agricultural Resources and Sustainability in Agricultural Economy, July 2000; Contribution of Structural Adjustment to Growth of Agriculture in China in Chinese Rural Economy, July 2000; and Feasibility of Stabilizing Grain Supply in China by Using World in Journal of International Trade, April 2000.
