NETWORK PROFILE
REDCAPA, established in 1993, represents 11 Latin American countries and the Caribbean region (LA/C). The central objectives of REDCAPA are to contribute to the improvement of teaching and research in Agricultural Economics, Rural Development and the Environment, to support institution building, and to improve national and international cooperation between its members. The network produces a scientific magazine and two bulletins, runs a virtual library and data bases, and publishes teaching material. It supports the exchange of lecturers and the preparation of international joint research projects. In cooperation with overseas members, REDCAPA also organizes specialization courses for network teaching staff, supports the permanent evaluation of education programs and the introduction of new methodologies, interchange of lecturers and students and the organization of joint seminars and workshops. INSTITUTION PROFILE
Tufts University offers many choices for graduate education in the various aspects of nutrition science and policy. Faculty and students at the School continue to contribute to increasing the quality of life for people around the globe. The educational opportunities available there in nutrition include, for example, study in the biological sciences, humanitarian affairs and complex emergencies, international nutrition field operations and policy-setting, domestic food policy, agribusiness, interface of food supply and production with the environment, communicating nutrition information to the public and the provider communities.
