    The Food Security Resource Center's Online Database includes more than 8,000 items on food aid management. It contains materials on food security, monitoring, and evaluation, monetization, local capacity building, participatory approaches, agriculture, integrated pest management, commodity management, maternal/child health, nutrition, child survival, water and sanitation, ethics, and biotechnology.   2. Eastern Africa Journal of Rural Development

  3. Agri-biodiversity Indicators
    The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) held a meeting in Zurich, Switzerland, in November 2001, to further develop methodologies for indicators that track the impacts of agriculture on biodiversity. Nearly 90 experts representing OECD member country governments, research institutes, environmental organizations, farmer interests, and the agro-food industry attended the meeting.   5. International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP)
    The International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications is providing low-cost online access to over 6000 journals and abstracts for researchers in 40 developing countries. INASP is also helping journals published in developing countries to go online and is facilitating a range of 'Internet' training to help ensure that information on the web is utilized to its fullest potential. Currently, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia have licenses for accessing the journals online in developing countries. NETWORK PROFILE

    Eastern and Central Africa Programme for Agricultural Policy Analysis (ECAPAPA)
    ECAPAPA is a regional programme of the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA). ECAPAPA has been receiving support from the International Development Research Centre, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Its main goal is to expand the economic growth of the region's agricultural sector and to alleviate poverty in Eastern and Central Africa. ECAPAPA has a broad range of stakeholders, including the national agricultural research and extension systems, universities, International agricultural reseach centers, public, or quasi-public, independent policy analysis firms, and NGOs, farmers's organizations, the private sector, and donors.
