    The Info Finder, a powerful new search engine on agriculture, hunger, poverty, and the environment, was launched on May 21, 2002. It is a collaborative effort between the World Agricultural Information Centre of the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO's WAICENT), the Future Harvest Centers, and the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). It allows you to search web pages and online publications produced by FAO and all 16 of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Centers at one time.   3. Free Access to Journals and Discounted Document Delivery
    The International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP) offers free access to 7,000 online journals in science and technology, discounted document delivery for 20,000 journals, and over 100,000 monographs.   4. Humanity Libraries Online

  5. Enhancing Research Capacity in Developing and Transition Countries
    The Swiss Commission for Research Partnership with Developing Countries (KFPE) has published the proceedings of the workshop, "Enhancing Research Capacity in Developing and Transition Countries, " which was held in Berne, Switzerland on September 21-22, 2000.   6. Key Sheets on Food Security
    The Overseas Development Institute (ODI) has produced a key sheet on Food Security. The purpose of the Key Sheets is to provide decisionmakers with an easy and up-to-date point of reference on issues related to sustainable livelihoods.   7. Research Project Competition
    The African Forestry Research Network (AFRONET), a joint initiative of the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) and the International Foundation for Science (IFS), is coordinating a collaborative research project competition. The goal is to enable African forest scientists to carry out important and high-quality research with assured, adequate funding, and full international recognition.   8. Practical Anthropometry
    The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) recently released the document "Practical Anthropometry," which provides a series of tools and resource materials for planning and carrying out nutrition surveys. This document includes information useful for preparing surveys and collection of anthropometric measures of children.   9. Good Practices and Innovative Experiences in the South (Zed Books)
    As a result of a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) initiative and the efforts of the Third World Network, Zed Books has published a three-volume collection on innovative development projects in Asia, Latin America, and Africa. It illustrates a wide spectrum of economic and environmental policy and practice, including community-based sustainable livelihood projects, social policy, indigenous and traditional knowledge, appropriate technology, social service delivery, and education organizations.   10. Directory of Development Organizations 2002
    The Directory of Development Organizations, which lists 25,000 organizations, provides a comprehensive reference for development practitioners, researchers, donors, and policymakers, who are interested in private-sector development and poverty alleviation in low-income countries. The directory is divided into seven geographical sections: Africa, Asia and the Middle East, Central America and the Caribbean, Europe, Oceania, South America, and Canada and the United States, in English, Spanish, or French.   11. International Development Statistics: 2002 Edition
    The Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has recently released "International Development Statistics: 2002 Edition" on CD-ROM. This CD-ROM provides economists, researchers, and development workers with a unique source of up-to-date comparative development statistics and information.   12. International Journal of Agricultural Sustainability
