  3. FAO Offers Free or Low-Cost Access to Scientific Literature Online
    The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has launched Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture, (AGORA), an online clearinghouse of approximately 400 journals in the fields of agriculture, biology, and related environmental and social sciences. With this website, FAO plans to increase the quality and effectiveness of agricultural education and research by providing wider access to published information. FAO is collaborating with major scientific publishers, such as Oxford University Press and others, to provide free or low-cost access to these professional journals for students, researchers, and academics of low-income countries.     Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa (AARINENA)
    AARINENA was established in 1985 to strengthen cooperation among regional, national, and international research institutions and centers through the dissemination and exchange of information, experiences, and research results. It is co-sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), and the International Service for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR).
