  2. Agricultural Market Access Database (AMAD)
    AMAD is a comprehensive collection of available public data on WTO market access in agriculture. It is the result of a co-operative effort by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, European Commission - Agriculture Directorate - General, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), The World Bank, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and United States Department of Agriculture - Economic Research Service. It contains data for over 50 countries on WTO tariffs and tariff rate quota (TRQ) schedules, import data, applied tariffs, prices, production, and consumption.   3. Microfinance Poverty Assessment Tool
    This tool, published by the World Bank, was developed to increase transparency on the depth of outreach of microfinance institutions (MFIs). It is intended to assist donors and investors in integrating a poverty focus into their appraisals and funding of financial institutions through a more precise understanding of the clients served by these institutions. It can also be used to measure the poverty levels of other development program clients. Price: $25.00.   4. Organic Resource Management in Kenya: Perspectives and Guidelines
    The Forum for Organic Resource Management and Agricultural Technologies (FORMAT) has published a book which documents various practices, technologies, products, policies, opportunities, and constraints in organic resource management in Kenya and the larger East African region. It will serve as a reference source to students, scientists, and development specialists in Kenya and the rest of the world.   5. News Agency on Development Issues in Africa
    The World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) with the help of the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has set up a news agency on development issues, including food security, called the Simbani News Agency.   6. Evaluating Capacity Development in Research and Development Organizations
    Coordinated by the International Service for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR), this site promotes the use of evaluation as a tool to advance the development of organizational capacity and performance. Its main purpose is to support a group of managers and evaluators who are assessing capacity development efforts in their own organizations.

    Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS)
    JIRCAS was established in 1993, through the reorganization of the former Tropical Agriculture Research Center, to promote research aimed at achieving a sustainable global food supply. It addresses agricultural, forestry, fisheries, food, and environmental problems in the developing regions. It carries out interdisciplinary research on biological and social aspects of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, and conducts collaborative research with institutions of developing countries as well as international organizations.     Agricultural Research and Extension Network (AgREN)
    AgREN, administered by the Overseas Development Institute's Rural Policy and Environment Group (RPEG) and sponsored by the UK's Department for International Development (DFID), was established in the mid-1980s to link policymakers, practitioners, and researchers in the agriculture sector of developing countries. It provides its 900 members in more than 100 countries with up-to-date information and the opportunity to dialogue with others who have similar professional interests. Members come from international and national aid agencies, national governments in developing countries, university and research institutes, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector.
