  2. Improving Agricultural Research at Universities in Sub-Saharan Africa: A Study Guide
    The International Service for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR) has published this study guide primarily for university administrators and National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) leaders. It presents generic procedures, approaches, strategies, and actions based on a literature review, ISNAR's six country studies, and the results of two international workshops.   3. UNDP's resource page on Public-Private Partnerships
    The United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) Public-Private Partnerships for the Urban Environment (PPPUE) supports the development of partnerships at the local level. It helps governments and private sector organizations craft the approaches that best fit their local needs, based on the lessons learned in partnership arrangements around the world. PPPUE's international network, flexible design, and constant feedback mechanism contribute to the success of public-private partnerships. PPPUE works with all potential stakeholders, including investors, providers, regulators, users, and experts in small and medium-sized cities to meet the challenge of providing basic urban environmental services.   4. Logical Frameworks Tool
    Integrated Marine Management Ltd, a consultancy group based at the University of Exeter, United Kingdom has developed a logframe tool. The tool describes the stages in developing a logframe and elaborates on defining the goal, purpose, outputs, activities, and inputs.   5. Manual on Participatory 3-Dimensional Modelling: Guiding Principles and Applications.
    The manual Participatory 3-D Modeling for Natural Resource Management: Essentials of Protected Area Management in the Philippines, which was announced in the September 2002 IFPRI-TCSP newsletter, has been revised under the new name Participatory 3-Dimensional Modelling: Guiding Principles and Applications.   • Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA)
    SAA, in collaboration with the Carter Center's Global 2000 program, works on increasing productivity in Africa. Its mission is to assist Sub-Saharan African governments in reducing poverty, enhancing food security, and protecting the natural resource base through the accelerated adoption of productivity-enhancing agricultural technology. SAA strives to modernize the techniques small farmers use to produce food and helps organize farmers to obtain credit, acquire inputs, and market harvests more successfully.
