    Uganda: Policies for Improved Soil Nutrient Management, Input Marketing Survey, 1999-2000
    This survey was conducted in collaboration with the Center for Development Research, University of Bonn; Agricultural Policy Secretariat, National Agricultural Research Organization, and Makerere University Faculty of Agriculture. It was conducted to analyze the market–land degradation linkages by focusing on input traders in Uganda. A total of 148 input traders were sampled. The data collected includes information on general characteristics of the businesses, commercial relationships and networks, procurement, input packages, sales, relationship between customers and suppliers, transportation and communication, human resources and cost structure, financial resources, investment, extension services, protection of property, and interventions.     Innovation Strategy Today is an e-Journal, published by bioDevelopments International Institute Inc. in collaboration with Cornell University and the Biodesign Institute of Arizona State University.     The e-Journal of Land and Water is an open access and peer reviewed international scientific journal published by Sakia.org for research and developments in land and water. It aims at publishing scientific papers of international significance covering basic, applied, and strategic research in the area of land and water.   4. Participatory Approaches for Sustainable Land Use in Southeast Asia
    This book, edited by Andreas Neef, comprises in-depth analyses and discussion of participatory research and development in action with emphasis on the needs of rural communities in marginal regions of Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao P.D.R., Nepal, the Philippines, south China, Thailand, and Vietnam. The information evolved from papers presented at the International Workshop on "Participatory Technology Development and Local Knowledge for Sustainable Land Use in Southeast Asia," held from June 6-7, 2001 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It covers the participatory development of soil and water conservation technologies, gender-sensitive participatory methodologies, participation in priority-setting for agricultural research, the use of Geographic Information Systems in supporting participatory processes, and the benefits of using local knowledge in managing natural resources.
