- IFPRI Dataset
Pilot Analysis of Global Ecosystems (PAGE): Agroecosystems Dataset
The PAGE dataset was prepared by IFPRI in collaboration with the World Resources Institute (WRI). The study identifies linkages between crop production systems and environmental services that might lead to policies that can contribute both to improved food output and improved ecosystem service provision. The dataset includes a series of 24 maps that provide a detailed spatial perspective on agroecosystems and agroecosystem services. It offers 9 geospatial datasets used to build these maps namely PAGE global agricultural extent; PAGE global agricultural extent version 2; mask of the global extent of agriculture; PAGE global agroecosystems; percentage tree cover within the extent of agriculture; carbon storage in soils within the PAGE agricultural extent; agriculture share of watershed; area free of soil constraints; and outline of land and water area. For ordering information, visit http://www.ifpri.org/data/PAGE01.htm. - Teams to end Poverty
Teams to end Poverty campaign is a global communication and partnership campaign launched by the United Nations Development Programme. It aims to mobilize individuals and institutions to contribute to the collective effort required to combat poverty in all parts of the world. It seeks to garner support for achieving the Millennium Development Goals. For more information, visit http://www.teamstoendpoverty.org. - The Social Indicators and Statistics Database (BADEINSO)
The English version of the Social Indicators and Statistics Database (BADEINSO from its Spanish acronym) is maintained by the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). The database gives free access to data on about 130 social indicators on demography, education, health, housing, employment, wages, poverty and income distribution, the economy, and the Millennium Development Goals for Latin American and Caribbean countries. Users can perform queries selecting available countries, years, and indicator categories, downloading results in Excel and creating online charts. Each indicator is associated with a technical note featuring definitions, methodology, information sources, and comments. For more information, visit http://www.eclac.cl/badeinso/Badeinso.asp. - Poverty Analysis Initiative (PAI)
The PAI, part of the World Bank Institute's Poverty and Growth Program (PGP), aims at enhancing the capacity of different audiences in three areas: poverty measurement and diagnostics, poverty monitoring, and poverty impact evaluation. The goal of the PAI is to promote increased use of information and analysis in the formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of poverty reduction policies. Various PAI resources are available on the website. For more information, visit http://web.worldbank.org/WBSITE/EXTERNAL/WBI/. - FAO Evaluation
The evaluation website of the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations describes the monitoring and evaluation policies of the organization and provides searchable databases of FAO project evaluations and evaluation documents. Evaluation in FAO aims to assist the organization in identifying measures that improve FAO's relevance and effectiveness; to draw lessons and strengthen institutional learning; and to provide performance accountability to Member Countries and other stakeholders.
