    Collective Action and Property Rights (CAPRi) CD-ROM 1995-2005, United States
    CAPRi recently updated the program’s CD-ROM to include all 2004 and 2005 materials. The CD-ROM contains CAPRi working papers, briefs, books, a bibliography, a CGIAR (Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research) CAPRi project inventory, and background information on the program. The CD-ROM can be ordered for free.

    Eldis OnDisc, Institute of Development Studies, United Kingdom
    Eldis, an online gateway to development information, has recently initiated a project to produce CD-ROMs containing selected documents from its website. The project aims to grant those with poor or no internet connection access to resources from its site. The Eldis OnDisc blog will document the progress of the project. To receive the Eldis OnDisc CD-ROMs, either for your own use or to distribute to other users, please complete the registration form.

    International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning (IRRODL), Canada
    IRRODL, in collaboration with five other scholarly journals, is launching a call for research and good practices papers concerning distance education and its role in securing the right to education. The deadline for submitting summaries of article proposals is January 31, 2007.

  3. IFPRI Dataset Bangladesh: Coping Strategies, 1998-99
    The data covers 757 households in seven flood-affected rural areas at three different times over the course of a year (November 1998 to December 1999).  The aim of the study was to capture the difference in labor participation and food security after the flood. Topics in the household survey include household information, education, employment and training, agricultural activity, fishing and livestock activity, allocation of family labor, social assistance, household assets, credit, housing and sanitation, nonfood spending, food expenditure and consumption, health status, and anthropometry. Topics in the community survey include level of agricultural production, employment, prices, cost of farming, economic activity, law and order, intervention programs, and information about the flood at the thana, union, and village levels.
