To enhance regional and local efforts in capacity strengthening, IFPRI identifies and collaborates with regional networks. Furthermore, networks provide a pathway for in-country institutions to collaborate on similar issues and challenges, thereby, strengthening the local capacity for policy research and analysis. IFPRI strengthens networks by identifying potential areas of collaboration in training activities, designing and implementing training courses, and developing training materials. Some regional networks that IFPRI has assisted are the East and Central Africa Program for Agricultural Policy Analysis (ECAPAPA), the 2020 Vision Network, Southern Africa Development Program (SADC), Food Security Network for West Africa (SADAOC), Agricultural Policy Analysis Network for Latin America and Caribbean (REDCAPA), and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
