Dec 14, 2015

Research by Mark Rosegrant, Director of IFPRI’s Environment and Production Technology Division, and a team of distinguished researchers was featured by Thomson Reuters Foundation in a story about COP21. The work examined the effects of climate change on the Philippines and found that the number of people at risk of hunger will increase by 1.4 million in 2030 and 2.5 million by 2050. Read more about the research in IFPRI’s press release and take a look at the presentations on SlideShare: (Rosegrant presentation, Wiebe presentation). IFPRI’s Nicostrato Perez, Angga Pradesha, Timothy S. Thomas and the director of the Philippines’ Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment Staff Mercedita A. Sombilla also worked on the research.
