Nusrat Hossain is a Senior Research Analyst in the Poverty, Health, and Nutrition Division. She joined IFPRI in August 2012 under the Bangladesh Policy Research and Strategy Support Program (PRSSP). Her research focuses on women’s empowerment in agriculture. She also has substantial research experience studying agriculture production, agriculture technology adoption, and climate resilience. Before joining IFPRI, Nusrat worked with BRAC’s Research and Evaluation Division where she evaluated the impact of an urban ultra poor program, and assessed the social and financial empowerment of adolescents. She received her B.S.S in Economics, and M.S. in Development Studies from BRAC University.
