The Ethiopia NIPN Technical Advisory Project (ENTAP) is embedded in the Compact 2025 initiative for ending hunger and undernutrition by 2025. The objective of ENTAP is to strengthen national capacity to establish a National Information Platform for Nutrition in Ethiopia (NIPN-Ethiopia), which is implemented by the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI). EPHI is the lead agency responsible for setting up NIPN-Ethiopia, and IFPRI provides technical assistance to NIPN-Ethiopia under ETNAP. NIPN-Ethiopia aims to support evidence-based decision making for policies, programs, and investments in nutrition.
The technical assistance provided by IFPRI consists of three operational elements: formulation of policy research questions, identification and analysis of data, and communication and outreach of research findings.
The first phase of the project (ENTAP 1) was in 2018-2022, which continues into the second phase (ENTAP 2) in 2022-2024.
