Achieving food and nutrition security is a complex challenge. This is especially true in South Asia, where 40 percent of the world’s poor—who survive on less than US$1.25 a day—live and 21 percent of the population is undernourished.
人間の安全保障と質の高い成長へ向けて、日本は世界規模での貧困削減、農業・農村開発、人類の健康と栄養の向上に貢献している。国際食糧政策研究所(IFPRI)も研究の成果をもとに、貧困、飢餓と栄養不足を持続可能なかたちで削減させるための政策提言を通じて、同じ目標に向かっている。日本は、30年以上にわたりアフリカとアジアにおいて、IFPRIと連携し、農業の近代化から開発能力の向上、そして栄養の改善といった様々な共通の課題への取り組みを支援してきた。
For more than 30 years, Japan has partnered with IFPRI in Africa and Asia, providing support for areas of shared concern
