Abenezer Wondwosen is a Research Officer with the Ethiopian Strategic Support Program, Development Strategies and Governance Unit, based in Addis Ababa. He has a keen interest in development economics, with research primarily focused on welfare, food security, resilience, and improved livelihoods in Ethiopia. His work centers around assessing and examining the poverty dynamics in Ethiopia through the evaluation of two major development initiatives: Feed the Future and Ethiopia’s Productive Safety Net Program. Prior to joining IFPRI, Abenezer spent two years as a Research Officer at the Ethiopian Policy Studies Institute, where he played a pivotal role in several development research projects. He also worked as a Lecturer of Economics at Debreberhan University. He holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Gondar, specializing in economic development policy analysis.
