Alix Underwood

Research Analyst

Alix is a Research Analyst in IFPRI’s Director General’s Office. She works to communicate the impactful research conducted in IFPRI’s various units to a broader audience. Prior to joining IFPRI, Alix completed the University of Notre Dame’s Master of Global Affairs program with a concentration in Sustainable Development. At Notre Dame, she conducted research on smallholder farmers’ perceptions of farmer field schools with Catholic Relief Services Guatemala, as well as on air pollution governance with the Environmental Change Initiative. Previously, Alix served as an AmeriCorps member for the City of South Bend and as a volunteer in Peace Corps Panama’s sustainable agricultural systems sector. Alix is fluent in English and Spanish.
